Today we learned and researched the key three techniques that we will have to include in our preliminary task video. We had to write a definition of each technique in our own words and then find an example, and then think of an example from a film.
>MATCH ON ACTION.
This is when two different shots are used to show continuous action. So, the first part of the action is shown using one shot angle and then it cuts to show the rest of the action, from where the previous shot left off, but, using a different shot or angle.

>SHOT/REVERSE SHOT.
This is where a shot (for example, a point of view shot) shows one character in the shot looking at the other character, and then swaps to show the other character looking back. The characters are shown facing in opposite directions so they appear to be facing one another.

>THE 180 DEGREE RULE.
This rule states that in a scene, two characters always need to maintain the same left/right relationship to one another despite the angle of the shot. If this rule is broken, the viewer feels disorientated and confused.
